When did you start CrossFit and why? 
I started CrossFit in 2015 for a Exercise Science internship I was doing in college. I only became consistent in the gym in 2017 when I joined Pennant.
What is you favorite movement? 
My favorite movement is between deadlifts and burpees (I know, I’m strange.)
What is your least favorite movement? 
Hesitant to answer least favorite movement because I know Dan will program more of it 😂😂…but the Rogue bike is my enemy.
Tell us a little about your life outside the gym!
Outside of the gym you can find me hanging out with my family, doing service work for a program I participate in, or eating snacks and watching the Challenge.
What were you doing before CrossFit? 
Before CrossFit I was playing college soccer and lacrosse.
What were your goals when joining CrossFit and how have you achieved those goals? 
My goal when starting CrossFit was to find a challenging hobby that I enjoyed doing that would allow for both mental and physical growth.   I was also excited to start using barbells more often because I always thought they were super badass.
How has CrossFit affected your life outside the gym? 
I say this all the time, Pennant CrossFit is like my safe haven. Getting stronger inside of the gym has allowed me to be stronger in all aspects of my life outside of the gym. I have more confidence in myself and my skills. I am more clear minded throughout the day after getting a good workout in. I have learned how to feed my body appropriately. And I know that I am physically and mentally prepared for whatever life throws my way.
What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit or thinking about giving it a shot?
When walking in to Pennant, leave whatever negative preconceived idea about CrossFit at the door. Trust the coaches, they care about each individual inside and outside the box.
